I am almost 6ft tall and it was very comfortable to deliver in. I wish it had better mail capacity, but I can't really complain. It got 25 mpg ON THE ROUTE and it was 8 years old when I got it. Plus my husband replaced the engine because someone blew it up racing in it. So the repairs were due and not a common issue.

Reliability Starts everyday, as long as I remember to turn off the headlights. Best vehicle I've had on the route so far, except for the transmission and AC
Gas Mileage on route 13-18, depending on if I use the AC, and how heavy the mail is
Problems you have had with it AC compressor has blown 3 times. First time was covered under warranty, second and 3rd were not. Transmission went out at 150k miles, very common problem with CR-Vs, and they are a pain to change!
Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.) I love the table in the middle to sit on. I'm a good size girl, and I haven't broken it in 3 years on the route :)

Durability     I've only had this Jeep for about a month on the route so I can't answer much about durability as I have only had it for about a month.
Reliability     This Jeep has done well so far in ice, snow and mud and in extremely cold temperatures.
Gas Mileage on route     Ave between 12 and 16, depending on how much of the route is ran in 4 wheel drive.
Problems you have had with it     None so far.

Reliability     Has never failed me not even one day for any reason.

Problems you have had with it     Changed the latch on the rear hatch - I think it was caused by excess dust entering.

Durability    The Liberty has not held up well at all. The cherokee is a much tougher vehicle.
Reliability    Horrible reliability on the liberty. Cherokee good.

Problems you have had with it    Liberty, problems since began using daily on route, so many to mention but highlights: Transmission, traction control, control arms, engine carbon build up and supposed valve issues. Cherokee, mostly maintenance items which are to be expected at 220,xxx miles.

The liberty's repairs have been horribly expensive and seems weekly. The cherokee is my backup, which one has to have. Have invested so many dollars in Liberty am trying to get use to warrant the expense. Very difficult finding a tough vehicle that dual steering can go in. The system needs hooked into the frame safely, very happy with my dual controls completed at Lakes in Missouri. They are still unable to do a Toyota or Nissan xterra which they might come closer to being able to handle 140 miles, 6 days a week.

Durability    Having to do a lot of work due to age of vehicle. A brand-new vehicle of this type would be perfect for the route.
Reliability    It has never left me stranded (knock on wood!)

Problems you have had with it    I have had this vehicle for 3 years. Had to fix wheel bearings, new radiator cap, brakes about every 3000 miles
Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.)    I bought this vehicle from a place in Florida which reconditions Dodge and Plymouth vans, then moves the steering and brakes to the right hand side. Window height and door size is perfect. The company even added a mail tray that holds 3 trays of mail - stackable 2 trays high.

The passenger side has an awsome little cubby hole in the dash, perfect for all your daily needs on the route. Stamps, cutters, pens, scanner, etc.

I use a hands free window on a daily basis to keep out the heat and cold. I have worn it out and need another. I have a cab height camper shell on the back for large parcels and DPS mail trays. I put a 2X4 under the back bolts of the passanger seat for added height since the seat was not height adjustable. Because of the RHD kit, my left foot space is limited.

Durability    Hybrid system saves brakes. Both back door handles are broken (inside the door). Front end seems loose, more than normal.
Reliability    She cranks up every day.
Gas Mileage on route    Averaging 26 mpg. I'm getting really good at stretching the electric motor out as far as possible.
Problems you have had with it    At 40000 it refused to cycle and go into hybrid mode. I got connected with hybrid mech in KC and they talked my local guy through it. For the last four months I've had a problem with stalling. If I slow down too fast, start too fast. No trouble coming in every morning, but about 1/3 of the way through the route the trouble starts. On the way home I have to keep it under 35 to keep it from stalling. As mentioned above, both rear doors won't open.
Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.)    Console has shift in it so I had to break down and put in pedals. Works great. The nature of the hybrid recharge system is such that I hardly ever need brakes. Now that's a moneysaver!

Problems you have had with it    Rear Brakes continually going out because they are not vented. Stabelizer bar went out @ approx. 20,000 miles, it stuck in 4 - wheel drive (only used in 4wheel drive a few times) after a bushing broke off. The AC stopped working when the wires came off and the gas cap gasket failed and make the check engine light come on.

Reliability Goes GREAT in the snow and ice. I put new Michelin tires (regular highway tread) on in December.

I think it is an excellent delivery vehicle. The four doors and larger size make it much more delivery friendly. It feels much more stable on the road than my old, smaller Wrangler. Doesn't feel as likely to tip over.

Durability 350,000 miles two transmission replacements and one rearend. Engine sounds pretty loose but still uses no oil between changes.
Reliability Only left me on the road once when the fuel pump failed.
Gas Mileage on route 20-25 depending on road and weather conditions
Problems you have had with it Front axle shafts seem to be the weak link.

Problems you have had with it trans. and engine overheating. At 115k miles i just had 3rd trans. And that's only the beginning. The list is very long. The dealership replaced parts 'til they could think of nothing else to try. It spent most of two summers there.

Gas Mileage on route 14 MPG on route. The few times that I have used it to drive any distance it got 16 MPG
Problems you have had with it Had to put a new heater core in in 2006. Straps for doors wear out so now doors open all the way, have to be careful when there is wind so does not bang against front jeep. back brackets on back door broke within 3 months so it hits brake lights all time. gets regular maintenance with oil, filters, brakes and tires. have had to replace battery once.

Problems you have had with it Heater switch is now broken for the 3rd time! Had a leake from heater core drain replaced twice the first year. Back brackets on back door broke and makes my door hit my tailights. tailights go out frequent. Had trany act up now had cylinoid unit replaced for $600 and they say that didnt fix it need new tranny! Ball joint going out and something else wrong with the suspension. Took well care with routin oil changes,air filters, brakes,tires and etc. just replaced battery

Durability Very durable. Have driven 117,000 miles of rural route beating and banging mail boxes and it still looks pretty good.
Reliability Very reliable. Have only done the necessary stuff.........brakes, tires, oil changes, etc.....have had no major problems in 7 years of route driving.

Gas Mileage on route Get's about 18-20 mph on the route. Not great, but could be worse.
Problems you have had with it Tires. I have a lifetime warranty on them through the dealer, but the tires are constantly having flats. Even had a piece of limb puncture the sidewall.

Durability This Scout was my back up ride, Very econmomical with a 2 barrel carb and built like a tank.
Reliability My Scout has never broken down with me on the route. Just flat tires and getting it stuck in the mudd
Gas Mileage on route I never figured miles per gallon, rather gallons per hour. My route was 86 miles and took 6-8 gallons of fuel per day.
Problems you have had with it Primarily finding replacement parts. It isn't called an International for nothing. International quit making Scouts in 1979-1980.

Durability I don't think so! I bought this car used & the 2nd day I had it the transmission went out. Had it fixed & 6 months later transmission had to be replaced! Thank God for extended warranty.

Durability It has had problems, but I have use it for almost five years. It is holding up real good. I have had problems with it over heating. I have 630 boxes at 40 miles. I have had to put 3 switches in for the heater/air. Than again, I am in it for almost 6 hours a day for 5 days running most of the time the heater or the air so I guess under normal conditions it would be real durable. I delivered out of a 2dr 1996 Ford Explorer LH drive for 6 years and didn't have the issue with the heat and air or over heating. The Ford also turn sharper than the Jeep. If I could get a true RHD Explorer I would. The ride is defintly smoother than the Jeep. Oh! I had to put offset ball joints on it. At 6,000.00. I had already put 2 sets of tires on it. Not counting the 1 set that came with the Jeep. It does get the job done and makes it a lot better on my body than a LHD.
Reliability I have had issues at first with the steering not properly put in. Than the wiring shorted out as I was driving in the left lane doing 65 on the interstate. I was constantly blowing a fuse in the fuse harness that would cause it to just quit. I am hoping I finally got that fixed.
Gas Mileage on route 9 miles to the gallon from box to box.

Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.) Right off I had them to put power windows in it. I have added a bug sheild, rain gaurds, nerf bars, bushwackers, coolant fan for the transmission, bigger wheels and tires, tinted windows, us mail sign cover the spare tire, and a mail box on the top with lights as my mail sign. Front and back seats are out and plywood and indoor/outdoor carpet has taken their place.

Reliability 99.5 percent dependable. Have only had two days when it wouldn't start in the morning. Was bad distributor.

Durability This is my second one. First one held up great. Only traded because the brakes on my dual control needed repairs and I couldn't get the parts.
Reliability The only day I've missed for repairs was when the passenger side window motor went out still under warrenty.
Gas Mileage on route 17-19 mpg depending on how long you run the AC.
Problems you have had with it Only the power window motor going out.
Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.) I have made no modifications other than having the dual controls installed. The bottom of the windows might be high for a shorter person. I used a pillow in my 2003 model for a while. If you get one, have the second steering wheel mounted as high as possible. It's hard for a long-legged person to slide under mine.

Durability 118,000 miles just put in the first set of front brake shoes One headlight burned out a few months ago rear brakes last year. that's about it.
Reliability See above I have never been stranded.
Gas Mileage on route On the route 25 in the Wisconsin winter 32 in summer. Normal driving 35-40 winter 45-50 summer.
Problems you have had with it It needed snow tires for sure. Driving into snow bank ruts left by the regular's Blazer can be a little rough.

I bought it from Postal pete in Galena, IL. They had purchased it used in Japan and brought it back to re-sell for mail vehicle. I was very happy with the entire transaction with them. I highly recommend this vehicle and I also highly recommend them as a reputable dealer to purchase from.
I am currently using Wrangler Silent Armor tires. They are wearing well, and give great traction in all types of weather conditions.

Durability Brakes are lasting a long time of this Honda, haven't changed in over 9 months
Very rigid unibody chasis, starting to notice some "relaxing" of hinges and interior body panels after 1 yr
Reliability Bullet proof so far in everything from 104 degrees and heavy dust to sleet and rain at 25 degrees. The 5 speed automatic is solid
Gas Mileage on route 17-18 mpg (49 mile route, 550 stops+ 16 miles roundtrip daily from home figured in this avg.) This 4cyl. 4wd will get 30mpg hwy at 60mph
Problems you have had with it gas tank is 15.3 gal, sometimes I can only go 2 days on the route between fill ups, most of the time 3 days.

Additional Comments ( Include things like modifications you have done, window height, console, etc.) 16-yr-old daughter suggested that I do something to make the passenger seat slide sideways (like it slides up and back). Took the idea to a mechanic friend and he welded and bolted a second set of rails from another bucket seat onto the passenger seat of my CRV so now it slides towards the middle leaving access to the emergency brake. I can reach the pedals and have my boxholders in a tub between my seat and the door, as well as the ability to slide the seat back to normal position so the car can be used for family transportation. Works GREAT!!!
